Cnr Kembla and Burelli Sts, Wollongong Sunday @ 9.45am
Worship is our response to God’s gracious gift of life and salvation and is the focal point of a Christian’s life. Worship for a Christian is not just something that happens on Sundays; rather it is what defines our whole life. An early Christian leader, Paul, writing to his friends in Rome said: “offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1). Paul here is explaining that all we do in life is to be an act of worship to God. And that is especially true when we come together as a congregation of God’s people, because it is at this time each week that we celebrate God’s presence with his people and we are informed from God’s word the Bible concerning our life of worship.
Here at City Central Presbyterian Church we recognise that God has shown us the way that we are to worship. We are aware of the ancient cultures that have shaped our expressions of praise, and are looking to connect with contemporary culture so we can be a meaningful worshiping community today. One of the impressive parts of Jesus’ ministry was his ability to connect with a wide range of people. And that is our goal as a Church, that all would feel welcome in our formal and informal times together.
We invite everyone to come and be a part of God’s worshiping community here at City Central Presbyterian Church. We come together for our formal times at 9:45 am each Sunday which is followed by a time of tea, coffee and chat.
